Become Wealthy Through Acting “As If”

Many years ago the great psychologist William James announced his famous “as if” principle. That is, if you want to be successful or wealthy act “as if” you already are. That is the most constructive idea which we should put into practice. If you want to be rich, act rich. If you want to be brave, act brave. If you want to develop a warm, friendly, happy disposition, don’t go around with a scowl on your face and hatred in your heart. Our mental and spiritual faculties are like servants. They always serve us with exactly what we request. If we acted as though we expected to be “a nobody”, life assumes that we are in earnest and grants our prayer.
